Daring Kathy & Marnesia Wild Heir 1-2 In Honey Ryder Stakes

Wildcat Heir progeny Daring Kathy and Marnesia Wild Heir posted a 1-2 finish in the $90,000 Honey Ryder Stakes on Saturday, May 10, at Gulfstream Park video
It was the first stakes win for Daring Kathy, a 3-year-old bay filly out of the Kingmambo mare Dare to Mambo. Daring Kathy cruised to a three and three-quarters lengths victory while covering the mile and one-sixteenths turf test in 1:41.05. Bred and owned by John Eaton and Steve Laymon, Daring Kathy now has a career record of three wins in four starts with career earnings of $120,750. Daring Kathy is trained by David Fawkes.
Runner-up Marnesia Wild Heir, a 3-year-old bay filly out of the Colony Light mare Marnesia Light, was bred by Albino Rossi. Owned by Daniel Hurtak and trained by Donna Green, Marnesia Wild Heir has career earnings to date of $48,583.
Daring Kathy became the fifth 2014 stakes winner by Wildcat Heir, joining graded stakes winner Wild Dude, Hot Heir Skier, Ramona’s Wildcat and One More Wild Ride.
