Another Stellar Weekend for Wildcat Heir

Wildcat Heir progeny were active for their sire this past weekend from coast to coast.

Jaiden’s Best, a gelding by Wildcat Heir scored a 3 length victory for her owner/breeder Gil Campbell in a $48,000 MSW at Gulfstream Park on Sunday.  The 2-year old gelding is out of the Sword Dance mare Truly The Best who is a full sister to multiple graded stakes winner Blazing Sword. VIDEO

Set of J’s, a homed bred colt of Brent & Crystal Fernung who stand Wildcat Heir at their Journeyman Stud went wire to wire in a 32,000 MSW at Indiana Grand Race Course winning by 6 3/4 lengths for his current owners JJJ Thoroughbred Racing LLC.  Set of J’s was purchased from the consignment of Journeyman Bloodstock Services, Inc. at the 2013 March Ocala Breeders 2-year old in training sale by John Frankel for $110,000.

Heir Kitty, a Grade I stakes winner by Journeyman Stud stallion Wildcat Heir, was the $750,000 sales topper at the third annual Del Mar Paddock Sale of Race Ready Horses on Saturday, July 20, 2014. Consigned by SGV Thoroughbreds on behalf of owners David Bernsen and Paul Makin, the 4-year-old filly was purchased by Narvick International (Emmanuel de Seroux). The sale was reportedly made for an undisclosed Japanese buyer.
